UC-Communications Research (CoRe) Program

This University/Industry matching grants program aims to enhance and accelerate research in communication systems and components. Industry participants may generally be any California-based company or business entity engaged in the commercialization of communications-related or communications-enabling products or services.

California Technology Investment Partnership Program (CalTIP)

This program provides commercialization funds for early-stage companies. CalTIP is a grant program, managed by LARTA, that provides up to $250,000 in State funds to match federal technology awards, including SBIR, ATP, or government contracts.

University Matches Dollars for Semiconductor Manufacturing Research

UC-SMART is University of California's matching grant program that, in partnership with California industry, supports research and education in next generation semiconductor manufacturing, focusing on materials, equipment and processing. The UC-SMART grant awards range from $20,000 - $600,000 per year, and are 1 to 4 year projects.

    Adaptive Systems Lab

    UCLA's Adaptive Systems Laboratory fosters a rich interdisciplinary research program on the analysis and design of adaptive systems (systems that adapt and learn to changes in their environment) with special interest in problems that arise in the areas of signal processing, communications, biomedicine, finance, and control.

    The Adaptive Systems Lab offers a free consulting service (by email only) for members of industry that have outstanding research questions related to the areas of expertise of the Lab.
