GPAT4 KNOCKOUT MOUSE
UCLA Technology Available For Licensing

INNOVATION:  Researchers at UCLA have developed a mouse strain genetically modified to interrupt (knock out) the gene for glycerol-3-phosphate acyltransferase 4 (GPAT4; originally known as AGPAT6). This mutant mouse model is a valuable tool for investigation of the physiological function of GPAT4 in lipid metabolism, obesity, diabetes and related disorders.
