Conflict of Interest Review Committee (CIRC)
The Conflict of Interest Review Committee (CIRC) is an independent faculty body,
advisory to the Vice Chancellor for Research, that reviews investigator financial interests to determine whether real
or perceived conflicts of interest may be present. Prior to acceptance of an award, the Vice Chancellor for Research
reviews the CIRC’s recommendations and makes a final determination as to whether the conflict must be reduced,
eliminated, or managed. In some cases, reviews are also conducted in relation to license negotiations or material
transfer agreements involving The Regents. To see when and what to disclose, please refer to the above
links on this page.
