Goal for the Workshop:

Each participant will understand the procedures for obtaining Passwords, preparing proposals, routing proposals, and submitting proposals to NSF using the FastLane system

What will we do today?

  1. Log in and work on a real proposal in the FastLane system.
  2. Work with templates and proposal-specific PINs.
  3. Download a specially-coded Excel spreadsheet to prepare a NSF budget, then upload that sheet to save it to the FastLane system.
  4. Create PDF files from word processing documents and upload those files to the FastLane system.
  5. Learn about the internal routing and final submission procedures for FastLane proposals.
  6. Questions, questions, questions.

How does this web site work?

When you click on links in the left side, the web site appears in the right-hand side. Try it now by clicking on this link to the OCGA web site.

There are two ways to navigate:

If you would like to use FastLane without the mediated interface, click JUST FASTLANE. You can also use the Back button in your web browser to back track through the web pages we visit. Use the scroll bar to the right of this window to move through the text.

To exit the training interface, simply type a new URL in the Location: window of the browser.
